Moment Nigerians trooped to Stanley Nwabili’s father’s house in Rivers State after Nigeria made it to the AFCON finals (video) After Nigeria’s thrilling victory over South Africa in the AFCON semifinals on Wednesday, February 7, some people living in Rivers State trooped to Stanley Nwabali’s father’s house to celebrate. It comes as no surprise that Stanley Nwabali, the goalkeeper of Nigeria’s national team Super Eagles, has been receiving widespread praise for his outstanding saves during the match. While some Nigerians flooded social media platforms with his pictures and heaped praises on him for helping Nigeria secure its victory, residents of Rivers State embarked on a jubilant procession to the goalkeeper’s father’s house. Videos circulating online capture the lively scenes: some excited residents rode motorcycles, while others jogged and sang victory songs on their way to honor his father.
