So what's the difference between this one and red card if someone gets it in the 85th minute? We are already complaining of var, hot offside rules and women referees in men's matches this ones want to bring another one. Another method is taking a gamble based off body language perception, but with a bit of mind games; the goalie feigns a dive in one direction and ends up going the other way. This is probably the best method for unpredictable takers who equally favors placing the ball or hitting it with power. If the kicker is a "stutterer", the goalie's feint may make up the kicker's mind. If he is a power shooter with an already decided trajectory...well at least the goalie would dive before the shot is taken.

This method is delicate cos the goalie could shift his weight too much while faking the dive, and would be unable to dive in his preferred direction quick enough. The goalie might even confuse himself in a bid to fake a dive and confuse the opponent.

The fact is that most penalties are not shots. Watch any shootout more than half are placing and not hard shots you will see they depend on the keeper moving

If the keeper will fail at Senior mans but surely he will stand a very good chance with the 2 kicks at the middle of the post(Ekong regulation penalty and Moffi shootout) plus Omeruo who waited for him to move before placing. If the South African keeper anticipated, he wont dive wrongly for Moffi, Omeruos and Ainas

The best example of this was in 2012 CL final Cech vs Bayern. He followed all the balls and saved 2 in shootout and 1 in extra time

Lets say the post is 24ft wide(for example). Keeper in the middle already covers 5ft to either side of him making 10ft. The place uncovered are the 7fts each side closest to the post making a total of 14 ft

So a good penalty is one that is targeted at those 7ft closest to each post and and with enough pace that the keeper cannot dive there in time

So not gambling say you have a 50% chance of stopping those within 10ft(5ft each side) and 10% of stopping those in the 14ft outside the immediate reach of the keeper

When you gamble, you are at 0% of the other side you dive to and say 50% of the side you choose

Power shots are difficult to stop in penalties which is what is used by people like Yekini Lampard and Ronaldo. Only someone assured of his shooting technique will do this well. If you shoot too hard you likely will sky the ball

There's a saying in the streets: " follow him leg, no follow ball". This simply means that a keeper should follow a shooters body angle and hope he gives away the corner he is going for.
