South Africans will soon come and call us Generator country
If they do, call them 'LOADSHEDDERS'.

They call their DAILY POWER CUTS a fancy term - ''loadshedding'', and they are regular customers for generator there.

One of the biggest shame of our old foolîsh senile rulers is this issue of electricity.

It's so shameful for a country like Nigeria to still be living like this.

Many African countries that can't even stand us in anything are making mockery of us:
Cameroon
Ghana
Benin Republic etc

Yesterday, South Africa made a national show for us calling us generator Republic.
All the saboteurs of this electricity projects when caught should be kìlled immediately without trials.

People would destroy transformer, steal cables, by pass prepaid meters etc.

Electricity is something so basic that many countries of the world have solved many years ago.
Almost every african country has solved power problem...I tire for Nigeria

predictable power supply is better than unpredictable one. Loadshedding makes sense because people can plan with it.
When will Nigerians start to truly believe and know that generator fumes kill?

You will see some people actually putting the generator inside their rooms/living rooms and sleep!!
That is absurd mehn!!

Don't let us be the Generator Republic that those Banana Banana Republic referred us as biko.
That's how my caretaker went ahead and placed his noisy generator close to my window.

On opening my door, smoke already fill everywhere.

I quickly alert him and also send pictures to the landload to warn him against the nonsense he wants to engaged in.

Reading some comments here that "generator smoke kills". With this mindset one would believe it is safe as long as he is not seeing nor smelling smoke coming from the generator. Maybe the victims here had the same mindset. The smoke one can see or smell is not the one that kills.... the killer is carbon monoxide .... the one we cannot see or smell. Let's simply keep generators outdoors and away from our room especially if it not well ventilated.

Put your generators outside and find a way to secure it if you fear it could be stolen.
It is much better than inhaling carbon monoxide. That thing does not bite your lungs or make you feel dizzy. It simply enters your blood stream and does the damage.

Please let's be more conscious.

In 3082, when we’ll have flying cars and hopefully a cure for cancer, Nigerians will still die from generator fumes. This form of ignorance is ingrained in our DNA.

Assuming that there's at least 17 hours of electricity everyday, who will be using generators? The government caused the death of these students.
