South Africans must be fooling themselves if they think Banana Banana deserves the 3rd place bronze medal 'cause they don't ! Their qualification out of the group stage was aided by Namibia 'cause they wouldn't have made it out of that group if Namibia wasn't there ! SA are quite familiar with Nambia,so they were able to beat them. SA game against Morocco had some elements of poor officiating in favour of Banana Banana;their first goal was a clear offside goal ! Against Cape Verde ? Go and watch that game again and tell me if a team like SA deserved to advance at the expense of such a very good Cape Verdean team. They were equally assisted by the referee/VAR in the semi final game against Nigeria. Nigeria ordinarily, should have won that game within the regulation time with a scoreline of 3-0 or more but for the poor officiating !

A team like Banana Banana does not deserve to represent Africa at the world stage;they are not good enough. We could all see their level of mediocrity against the Congolese this evening. If not that the Congolese were simply unlucky,they should have won that game within 90 minutes with nothing less than 3 goals scoreline !

South Africa is not a powerhouse in African football. My teams of the tournament:

1. Nigeria - remains GIANT of African football.
2. Cape Verde - they play excellent football
3.Egypt - very good,they were simply unlucky.
4.Mauritania - those guys are ballers !
5.Senegal- the Lions are never a pushover !

South Africa are just pretenders,they still have a long way to go in football !

It's part of the modification of the rules. Since third place is a dead rubber game, dragging it to extra time before pk will be wasting of resources.
