It's been one hell of a week but we pulled through. The world is currently facing a tubumlent time and most Nations must face a Fiscal Death especially those who didn't prepare with enough Fiscal Discipline before now.... Let me illustrate a simple example why you as. Nigerian should be worried before things actually go the Venezuelan way. This is the adequate punishment for a ruthlessly corrupt country led by rogues and men without honor. Why this poke? How on earth is it reasonable by any stretch for a Professor to to rig in a dishonored and complete useless old Grandpa, because of some foolishly entered agreement with the political clowns holding Nigeria in a vice like grip? Anyway, that's for Another day. I will use two countries in Africa where I once live and do business: Rwanda and Nigeria. Before now, Most currencies losses against the USD due to fallout of macroeconomics, war in Ukraine and other factors. Nigerian Naira also losses big time with it gaining record as the world's worse performing currency. And most shameless and scary, the Nigerian Naira also losses against other less endowed African currencies, especially the Rwandan Francs. I chose these two because I'm very familiar with both economies. I'm not in the mode of patch patch CBN gov who need to look at prepared script before explaining his policies or something he should be familiar with. Before now, the Naira exchanges for 3 Rwf. In other words, if you have 1,000,000NGN, you can get 3,000,000Rwf at exchange. A lot of Nigerians flocked to Rwandan. Now, the Naira has performed so badly that it exchanges less than a Rwf. Meaning if you come to Rwanda with a million naira, you will get less than 900,000Rwf..... On the side of local economy..... nothing much has changed. Nigeria offers a weird mix of funny economy which is actually the secret why it has not collapse. Here a clear scenario. Before now, a bottle of coke had been: 150-300NGN in Nigeria. 1000-1500Rwf in Rwanda. Even with the chaotic, skyrocketing FX rate and food Crisis, A bottle of coke still remains: 150-300NGN in Nigeria 1000-1500RWF in Rwanda. In other words, the Naira is very powerful in Nigeria, and in shambles outside. This is the best start up material any economic genius actually need to make a country an economic power house! This is what made the Asian tigers what they are today! So why this? Nigeria actually have idiots as leaders who simply do not see the gifts inherently present in actually making Nigeria so strong economically that the world would flock in to do business! There's a strong, domestic economy, which is immune from FX Crisis. Cut off the demands and see your economy locally Developed, strengthened and widely strong! Can patch patch CBN gov and who the hell is the minister of economy again, see the benefits? We're Bigkoko ~ Discover Africa with us! |
