MrMcJay: It's someone's business what he choses to his/her life. You don't think so? A law that imposes fine bigger than what govt pays is unjust. Get the guy argument. |

isan:it makes sense for them to pour dirt on it and sweep it all day because when people like you see them sweeping, you give them money. I can bet there's no time you pass that there isn't a pile of dirt in his front that he's trying to sweep away. Cross the bridge ten times a day and the dirt won't move more than one step away from the seeeper |

I don't know the parameter that makes Lagos state government to impose the fine of 50k, why not 5k? With our prisons overcrowded, we'll have a lot of stubborn and ignorant pedestrians in prison for this minor infraction, and this is another way for KAI officials and policemen to make money by baiting unsuspecting Lagosians to fall victim and extort them. Most laws especially that of traffic are draconian as those in authority know that culprits will be the already tormented masses. The traffic law and punishment for contraveventions by confiscation of vehicles and motorcycles for plying one way roads for the former and restricted roads for the latter is a typical example of the draconian nature of these laws. 1 Like |

DMinaret11: -What is good in this one- that most of the bridges harbour Criminals. -some bridges are eyes sour e g Ojota- 1st bridge is delapidated, and not maintained, same with Ketu bridges - what about the One before 7- Up-on Lagos -Ibadan Express Roads- no maintenance! •Some of these bridges have no roof and it seems,Lagos State is just Creating some of these ad-hoc depts for punishing the People or what is the Purpose and why don't you put things in place before punishment? 1 Like |
