Not so disappointing seeing how well the Ivorians and how poor we played. Silver better pass the bronze we keep packing year after year.

True... really not sure what happened to them today.

Before the goal... What did he offer??

Compare how we played today to how we have been playing when Simon starts.....

Whether Simon started or not... we would have still lost... we have been using mistakes to score ... all our goals were either defensive blunders, or own goal or penalty... we only scored 2ice in a game at this tournament against Cameroon, the rest were one goal per match... so it had nothing to do with who started ...

How many balls did Osimhen see bro??

It's not Osimhen's fault actually.

It's the coach's fault.

Because we're trying to make Osimhen the only striker to feed always, we give away possession that could be built gradually!

We keep playing unnecessary aerial balls that the opponents collect, calm and continue to play us.

We need a coach that can play attacking football not defending.
If care is not taking Nigeria will not even qualify for world cup.
South Africa is warming up against Nigeria in June for world cup qualifiers. Nigeria loose that game against south Africa we are out

Sincerely speaking, this is exactly my thought. Iwobi shouldn't have never stayed for that long!

He was the reason the midfield was none functioning, putting our defense under constant pressure

Chukwueze and Iwobi are mistakes that stayed in the game for far too longโ€ฆ the coach messed up at the final stage

The Ivorian studied our tactics, read it well and used it against us. Osimhen was busy urging the boys to attack but the coach was too adamant on inviting pressure on his defence line. We've got attacking talents but they were not utilized. I just love Guardiola and any coach that attacks
Guardiola is flexible, this coach is not and predictable

So what is next after this?

We have worldcup qualifiers? Let's focus on that. There is another tournament in 2 years.

We reach final, its good. Work with this and get better. The team is quite good TBH

Like man it's very annoying. Playing lame football packing bus and defending all through the game and only attack when they are losing.
They better sack this aba made mourihno and find a better local coach

It would have been very unfair if Nigeria won

well as for me I think the problem was not the players but the coach's tactics. He couldn't find an antidote for adingra in the entire match. He caused both goals against nigeria

Adingra has always been a problem

The problem is the coach's tactics

He should have made them double up on Adingra

How do you allow 1v1 agst Adingra?

That is like allowing 1v1 agst Mitoma. That is death calling.

Brighton's plan is to replace Mitoma with Adingra. That's how highly they rate him.

Aina wasn't in the game and ought to have been substituted earlier in the 1st half.

Most coaches make mistake of keeping their favorite players on pitch even when they are not performing out of their love for the player's previous performance.

Everyday no be Christmas, Aina cost Nigeria today's game

They want to be defending after that 1-0. Bunch of jokers

The players Aina and Zaidu were under par today, the coach though failed to read the game and so should be sent packing. Ivory Coast won with a local coach, we too should look in that direction but then.
I was actually surprised to see zaidu sanusi starting the final but we'll it was the coach's choice, the coach should have had a plan B but he didn't, I noticed it against Sa especially when they equalized so I had a feeling should ivory coast equalize and even take the lead it would hard for Nigeria to equalize

Misapplication of a religious mind. Simply put, your team didn't win because they were average perfomers. They were only lucky to have gone that far. You went to the tournament with only 5 or 6 players. That's it.

Never will I settle down to watch a Nigerian match.

I'll rather devote my time to watching the Premier League since I don't support any clubs.

They gave big hopes but I just went outside and saw my suffering generator burning those hopes for N670/litre. Money I for use chop.

How this things pains me personally eh

The problem of this team has always been the midfield. We need creative midfielders. Iwobi cannot give a simple accurate pass, haba. To me iwobi is the worst super Eagle player in this tournament .

I didn't know he would be given a call-up. Even his blunder in last AFCON to get a red card.
Anyways, he may have strong NFF connections and he has ๐Ÿ’ฐ

This should be his last. If he's wise, he should retire from National football. Nigerians won't miss him
