In a series of tweets that have sparked widespread concern, Adebimpe Azeezat Adedeji has shared her family's traumatic experience of being robbed not once, but twice, within a span of less than six months in Moniya, Ibadan.

Adedeji recounts how her family, consisting of herself, her husband, and their infant daughter, relocated to Moniya in August 2023 with hopes of a fresh start. However, their newfound peace was shattered in September 2023 when they were robbed at gunpoint just a month after moving in. The thieves made off with their car, electronic devices, jewelry, and all their savings.

Despite the initial ordeal, the family was determined to rebuild their lives. Yet, just yesterday, tragedy struck again as they were subjected to another robbery. This time, their belongings, including a newly purchased laptop and all the funds in their accounts, were stolen. Adedeji's distress is palpable as she expresses the difficulty of picking up the pieces once more.

The repeated incidents highlight the urgent need for enhanced security measures in the area and serve as a stark reminder of the pervasive threat of crime faced by residents. Adedeji's tweets have garnered widespread attention, with many expressing solidarity and offering support to the family during this challenging time.

As the family strives to regain their sense of security, authorities are urged to take swift action to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure the safety of all residents in Moniya and beyond.

Being robbed twice in a space of six months is no coincidence at all.Someone close to the unfortunate family especially the husband is part of the robbery gang and must have taken an accurate and detailed note of the valuables in the house, while visiting and hanging out with the man.
OR
A friend of the family heading a robbery gang dispatched the robbers to the house,to rob the family.
Armed robbers don't rob a house twice, unless someone close to the affected people, is part of the gang.

Same way my flat at akinyele area of Ibadan not far from moniya was burgled on 1st/2nd Dec, 2023 while away at ijebu ode to attend a friend wedding wit my wife and daughter. We got home to meet the shocker of my life has the house has been vandalized.
43 Inc smart TV gone, 2 portable mp3 player gone, my daughter Samsung tablet gone, my wife whole jewelry box gone, some expensive designer bag gone little cash in the wardrobe gone, voltage ⚡ regulator gone including many other small items we are yet to realize.

The whole house was turned upside down, the incident shattered our December plan as we had to gather money to replace some of the item as the house was empty and boring.

Thieves and armed robbers should be excuted.

Roberry and burglar are now on the rise around arulogun rd and moniya areas due to remote areas being developed which are mostly isolated from major area during day and night.

This areas are mostly empties during the day as the people their will have gone to work and their places of business which is major place like ojoo, bodija, sango etc.....which makes the area vunurable
