Nice one. When some were governors, doctors were on strike for 13 months.
Because they didn't want change,tt the end of the strike, the health and Education facilities in Anambra was among the best .

We need to start holding our Local Government Chairmen and State Governors accountable. These guys are receiving almost double of their previous allocation which means they need to deliver more to the people.

It is unlikely any doctor earns less than 120- 150k. The result of this increase should be about 240-300k if not higher.

100k Says who
See, many of those local government medical doctors that's been there for a fairly long time takes home about a million plus monthly (with allowances). I've not even talked about the extra curricula / locum. Those guys are really cashing out.
The problem is many of us have been hoodwinked to believe lies, misinformation and disinformation.
If you don't know now you know.

Total take home per month of new LGA medical doctors in many states (I can tell you of Oyo state) is not less than 600k. If you've spent more than 10 years in the system, you'll probably be on a million plus (with allowances).
Don't be too quick to believe the lies.

I said it all.

That's how they said they will double hazard allowance of doctors in one state like that as if the hazard allowance was initially even up to 30k.

Meanwhile hazard allowance for politicians is in millions.

Who suppose collect higher hazard allowance? Doctors or politicians?

What a dumb comment. The people who are beneficiaries are happy and see the value in the increment and you are here spilling rubbish from your gutter. How much do you earn? How much is your father`s salary? when was the last time salaries was increased by 100% in your LGA or state of origin? Instead of you to commend such moves that will be helpful in these challenging times so your governor or LGA chairman can follow suit, you are here spilling trash..... smh

hahaha am sure the salary no reach 250k and probably they got less than 20Doctors on the payroll of that lcda.
Doctors salary under federal for a start is in excess of 350k if the 35k palliative is added.

Increasing salaries won't keep anyone back. Japa, especially for professionals, is not just because of the money. It is beyond that.

The increase in salary will even facilitate the japa.

They receive about 170k for level 8- to 600k plus for level 17
But the chairman doesn't pay their salary, it comes from Lagos state. I don't understand this article. Only the state government can increase their salary

The state is paying the difference.

Interesting. That's good.

A new doctor in Lagos state is still on 200-250k. I just checked. Doubled this is about 500k which is pretty good for entry into the job market for a normative single person
