Hello, doctors in the house.

I want to find out if it is safe for someone with low PCV and showing symptoms of it to take antimalarial medication with haematinics at the same time as I'm a bit confused about this. Your responses will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your response sir. I have a situation currently, a doctor said the person would benefit from taking both together because the person is going to benefit from the haematinics as she is anemic and feels weak and dizzy quite often because of it.

Haematinics that do not contain Iron or ferrous sulphate (Fesolate), is absolutely fine!

So far it contains no iron/Fesolate, that’s fine, it can be taken with antimalaria.

Am not a Dr but depending on the anemic level, it is advised the person take haematinic drug 1st, for like two to 3 days just to boost her hemoglobin level before taken Anti-malaria
