The Nigerian Army has reacted to reports making the rounds that the Presidential Guards Brigade has been put on high alert following unusual movements, leading to suspicions of a coup plot in Nigeria.

SaharaReporters reported on Sunday that the suspicions prompted emergency meetings involving the Commander of the Presidential Guards Brigade, Col. Adebisi Onasanya, President Bola Tinubu and the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.

In reacting to this report, the Army through her verified Social Media page described it as Fake News.

Last week, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, warned people calling for a coup over the current economic hardship in Nigeria to desist from such.

The good thing about this news,even if fake,is that it will give blabulu a better inkling that people are not happy with the course of events since he became president.
It may even be the reason he set up an economic advisory committee today after meeting with industry titans.
