*Urges FG to curtail crude theft, shore up production The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, has said the decision to float the nation’s currency is the major cause of the hardship, mass suffering, and other economic woes confronting the country, describing it as the worst economic decision-taking by the government.https://www.vanguardngr.com/2024/03/floating-of-naira-worst-economic-decision-pengassan/amp/ 27 Likes 4 Shares

Since 1960. Nigerians have never for once enjoy a good standard of living. It has always being Like this, No generation has had any good thing to say about the country. I have never supported the APC administration right from when they captured power but I think we should start our blame from those generation where the Naira was 0.75 to 1$ It even worst for This generation children. They don’t even enjoy what most kids born in 90s and early 2000 enjoyed. Kids can’t even afford to buy biscuits, sweets, good and enough foods, fruits, toys, cloths, indomie etc. 38 Likes 6 Shares |

No country in the world floats its currency 100 percent in US Dollars. That is the worst economic decision-making. Today, we do not earn 100 percent and we have floated our currencyTinubu is a monumental disaster Who never had anything to offer Nigerians except looting, hunger, hardship and starvation 66 Likes 2 Shares

Abagworo:This is just what Obidents are saying now that Obi would have put measures in place before removing subsidy when Obi said emphatically that he will remove subsidy "immediately without wasting time, it has to go". They both said they will remove subsidy and float the naira. Obi said, his own which I remember very well that "market forces will determine the value of the naira". Why twisting narratives now? Why?? 5 Likes |

Worst decision of Tinubu, he is trying to please foreign nations and entities and threw Nigeria under the bus. The floating is ill timed, there is a right time for everything. Why float the naira when we are not yet an exporting nation, when we depend on dollars for all our imports? Government should have given timelines, boost local production through Bank of industry, protecting local industries, reducing taxes for manufacturers and farmers, providing incentives like free lands for Nigerian farmer business men, then watch this economic investment grow, for like 10 years, then when Nigeria start to produce at least 75% of all we use and buy, you can think of floating. Government policies should be for good of the people, for results, not for textbook economic permutations and to get praises from IMF, who are pure profiteer capitalist. 13 Likes 1 Share |
