FG heed to IMF to remove fuel subsidy and floating of naira. Let's see if they'll heed to this.

He really have a funny dundee as a president of Nigeria. Even Buhari with his NEPA certificate is intelligent and smarter than Tinubu.

Notice how the IMF representative is hammering on social interventions and not addressing ensuring security for our farmers and those in rural areas?

They are here to offer GMO substitutes which will further bankrupt the few farmers still able to go to their farms.

They did this in Kenya by getting the puppet government over there to lift restrictions on GMO and with zero import tarrifs.

Nigerian Politicians will be shocked with what is coming.

In the history of politics and leadership... hunger is one tool that can destabilize any government. The fools in Aso Rock have no clue

Sometimes I am inclined to believe that Tinubu is out to destroy this country. Why else will a President be so insensitive to the acute hunger and poverty in the land.

And he once declared that he never believed in One Nigeria.
Well he believes in hunger for all

Same way IMF praised the SAP programme they foisted on Babangida which turned out to me the beginning of Nigeria's downfall.
How come WTO, IMF and World Bank don't advise EU and US governments? They are only important in Africa!
They are busy advising Nigeria to remove subsidy while farmers in Europe are hugely subsidized.

All the economists that full Nigeria plus graduates of economics, what are you all doing that's making IMF to be dictating Nigeria how to run her economy?

OreMI22:
Well, if they allow food to be imported even as a short-term measure or secure farms in the middle belt for the farmers to cultivate their lands and produce food, there would be no hunger again. This spells doom for the politicians who need Nigerian youths to remain poor and hungry to be willing tools for thuggery and snatching of ballot boxes.

So you can be assured that the FG will not do anything fundamental to alleviate food insecurity and hunger in Nigeria as it serves the purpose of the elite politicians to remain in power. They will merely do palliatives and give them rice or garri to feed them for a while before the hunger returns to keep them hooked on the whims of the elites in government.
That's the game but the unfortunate part is that it the oppressed that is explain why he is been oppressed and pleading for more time for his oppressors, who is not interested in his welfare

The bourdillon way. Where wretched people go line up for rice n stipend. Nothing will make me stand under the sun for some of rice. We hustle we don't beg
Iykopee:
The IMF hasn't realised that Tinubu is a clueless daft buffoon that has no real solution to the myriad of problems besieging Nigerians. It's in his nature to share rice and beans to the people in a bid to mitigate hunger. He did it in the past. He is looking @ same direction again.

Multi-dimensional poverty can't be eliminated by distributing trailer load of beans and rice that is barely enough to sustain any locality let alone one State in Nigeria. This had proven to not be the solution overtime.

I implore the IMF to take a cue from the Turkish proverb that says; When clown moves into the palace he doesn't become a king instead the palace becomes a circus.

I wander why the government has refuse to import wheat and rice on the short run just to oversupply the market. If the market is flooded it will lead to reduction in price.
You are somewhat Right.

But This is Just A Temporary Solution To The Big Problem On Ground.

What We Need Is For More Nigerian Youths To Engage in Crops Plantation.

We Also Need The Government To Provide Quality Irrigation Systems Across The 774 Local Government Areas of Nigeria For DRY SEASON FARMING.

See How We've Been Cultivating Yams Through The YAM SAC FARMING SYSTEM Since The Beginning of The Dry Season of January.

Can't we address what's cutting and reducing supply?

Government knows that bandit and killer herders had disrupt farm produce.

The food basket of the nation is found in the middle belt of Nigeria and 2e all knows what's happening in the middle belt right now.

Massive killings in benue, plateau, southern kaduna, nasarawa and others in the past since 1999 till date is enough to cause total catastrophic in farm produce. Just imagine how many farmers killed, villages sacked by this blood thirsty demons.

Jonathan bearly did much. Buhari first term in office told the whole world that his brethren have the right to grase on grasing route. These give these devil incarnate right to penetrate all states in Nigeria and disrupt the almost all the farm lands. Middle belt which is the food basket of Nigeria till today is under serious attack. Tinubu is not doing much and he doesn't understand what's causing the food insecurity.

Tinubu is doing a lot in terms of security, you can't expect him to solve all this insecurity mess in less than a year.

It's because of this insecurity mess the FG, states and the lawmakers are about to work on creating state police but you're here claiming tinubu is not doing anything.

You can't expect a problem that has been happening for over 20 years to just be solved in less than a year.

The Government is buying more weapons to battle terrorists, IPOB/UGM terrorist is been degraded in the south east, state police is about to be created etc

Clowns. These stark clowns where the ones that advised the FG to devalue the Naira. . but practically, they dont have any idea of what an average Nigerian feels on the streets.

Now that their companies are gradually packing out of Nigeria, due to huge losses and some of their industries are under threats of potential mass lootings, their senses are gradually coming on.

They keep looking at GDP and other fake paper statistics to determine their ideas.

If Tinubu want to survive his tenure, he must ignore these huge clowns.
Thank you for saying it as it is. They pushed the FG into this, now they are singing another tune entirely. No thriving country on earth today takes advices from IMF hook, line and sinker. Those who followed their advices in times past went from good times to bad times.

For people that know the problem of Nigeria can agree with me that IMF is a big enemy to Nigeria, the issue of food security and our currency depreciation was all cause by them.
They provide loan for you and then trap you, they tell you what you should do with the money which is the terms and conditions of the loan. They will never give you loan for industrialization rather the give you for consumption making you lazy and depended to them which in turn dictate for you.
In the 1960s 70s and early 80s dollar was exchange at 55 - 77 Kobo. What do IMF do?
They deceive Ibrahim Babangida into collecting Loan with a condition of creating a Second-teir foreign exchange Market (SFEM) which remove government total control of our forex which contribute emesly to the problem we are having today.
China at a time of der economic struggle the IMF offered them loan but they refused because they understand the trap IMF was trying to set for them. Today without they help of IMF they become the second largest economic in the world.
They are hypocrite.

The game is real.
How many days per year do the US and European countries have clueless and corrupt leaders supported by their educated population?
