FG Postpones Students Loan Indefinitely by Gossiphub: 12:35am On Mar 13

The Federal Government has postponed the launch of the Nigerian Students Loan Scheme indefinitely.

Akintunde Sawyer, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), stated this in an interview with ARISE NEWS, which was monitored by BusinessDay.

The loan which was formally slated to take off on Thursday, has been postponed again, as there are some corrections that are being made around the launch according to Sawyer.

“Unfortunately, I won’t be able to commit to a specific date. We are sort of waiting to ensure that all the stakeholders are aligned to make sure that nobody is blindsided, then we can actually roll this out in a meaningful, comprehensive, wholesome and sustainable way.”

We know that it's all lies. He said the refinery will be working by December nothing has happened and labour kept quiet. The media behave as if they have another country to run to. I am complaining because I care. Our leaders know us too much that is why they can lie right into your face knowing you will do nothing. I'm not and economist but I know it's just a lie. Many economist in Nigeria never challenged him to ask where he was going to get the money from to loan student. Is it the money that we have used to pay Senate and Legislatures?
