BACKGROUND
I am a Software developer/Pen-tester(average at best). Started programming a year ago out of boredom, nothing to do after university, no job, etc ..so I picked up web development, and that field is also overstated, it's getting harder to find web jobs...And freelancing?... I don't know how you guys get gigs...

So two months ago, I decided to do my own thing with my little skills [CREATE A MOVIE SITE] and see if I can make something with ads

I bought a VPS offshore [DMCA issues]... paid in Bitcoin.. and started using the little Linux skills I have to configure it

after going through hell, the site was up and running, am still making little tweaks here and there

CURRENT PROGRESS
I've gotten a domain (Dec 16, 2023)
I Built a movie download site and added a few movies [This part is a headache, if u have any advice on how to get movies let me know]
used Cloudflare for SSL and DDOS protection
Added some ads
I've created a telegram and a Twitter account for them (thinking of going on Tiktok)

EXPECTATION
2. Earning $0 per day in 1 month
3. Earning $1 or $2 per day in 2 months
4. 4 months [I don't know]

Need a partner ?

Don’t keep domain and host on same registrar.

Buy domain on GoDaddy and buy host elsewhere.

That way, you’ll save the domain when the host is suspended. Always do backup weekly.

I have been working on my Google ranking, at least now you can type Vidnaija on google and it pops out on the first page[Still not number one though]

I have built a Facebook group of up to 200 members. I had to focus on different niches for this...I created a group for a different type of movie fans [TV show fans, anime fans etc]

I discovered YouTube shorts can be really helpful to growing users and I am currently working on posting YouTube shorts and adding links to my website

so far I have made $2 [2.08] from ads, I have to get to $100 before I can make any withdrawal

it has been a wonderful experience so far and I will keep dropping more updates on my progress

some days i get up to 50 users best days ... some days low like 10 or 7

Don't partner with anybody unless you wan to scale. Movie sites are very risky, so if you fail, you fail alone.

I wish to create such site one day but getting the movies has been my problem.
