I have been following the debates between supporters of Erisco Foods and Chioma on who's right or wrong. Eric accused Chioma of attacking his product. The major issue he raised is that Chioma said Erisco Foods is 'killing' people. I, like many Nigerians who aren't following, believed she actually said that.

But after going through a thread by NlCreator, I realised she actually never made such a claim.

I think NlCreator did justice to it. Here's what he said:

Therefore, according to these analysts, it's inappropriate to impose an assumption on a vague word, especially in a case involving a criminal offense that requires evidence 'beyond reasonable doubt'.

● Nevertheless, others argue that even if "killing" was intended, it still doesn't justify the intimidation. They contend that the word strongly emphasizes concerns about the potential negative health effects of consuming such a sweet product. Additionally, section 24 of the Cybercrime Act 2015, which Eric and the police are relying on, is controversial, as it has been declared null and void by the ECOWAS court. Ribadu has also pledged that the law will be reviewed. However, while Eric and the police are entitled to test it in Nigerian courts, they should refrain from intimidating and bullying the pregnant mother and allow the court to perform its duty.

They've called first bank useless and all sorts of name.

I have not seen Glo arrest their critics because according to erisco, they want to kill Glo brand...abi Glo is not a Nigerian brand??

Secondly look at the remark she made on how she went to the market to go and buy Gino or Sonia but when she didn't see neither she settled for Magiko by Erisco....now can you not see the deliberate and needless name dropping of rival imported products of Gino and Sonia....clearly those brands are the ones sponsoring her nothing more.

Did you guys also not see where she responded to one of her commentors Who said they have to like finish the brand and she responded with "Done already"...if you claim to be reviewing a product but your intent it's to demarket based on your subjective narrative.

Food product review is not the same as reviewing bank or telco services cmon. We all know what Indomie suffered trying to change the narrative about their product causing death year back....you think Indomie would have kept quiet aboutbtge person if they knew exactly who began the rumour?
That singular sinister review is capable closing a multi billion dollar factory down wit many job losses just because of some freedom of speech...

Seriously I don't like intimidations but Chioma is totally wrong with her reviews. Imagine it was your family's business. For me Erisco CEO is just an ancient being who would go to length to protect his means of livelihood.

Both parties needs to clear this but I pity Erisco products, the image is damaged already
