Governor Mallam Umar Namadi this afternoon received two indigenes of Jigawa State who emerged as a grand prize winners of the Huawei ICT Innovation Competition in China

Ahmad Abdullahi and Adam Isa Adam who hailed from Babura and Roni Local Government Areas respectively are currently level 5 Computer Engineering students of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

They were part of a 3-member team who represented Nigeria and emerged the overall global winner in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Competition (with focus on machine learning).

Ahmad Abdullahi in particular, made three exceptional inventions: built a floods detection robot, a cancer detection machine as well a guiding goggle that can guide a blind person navigate the road as well as convert text into spoken words.

Great achievement. These guys need to be encouraged. What these guys need is encouragement from government to establish here in the country and not shaking of hands.
