Obasanjo’s Biological Father An Igbo Man From Onitsha — Rtd. Col. Majekodunmi

Chief (Dr) Sunday Adekunle Majekodunmi, renowned as the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Egba-land and the Otun Ba’asegun of Egba-land, shares his profound insights on crucial matters spanning life, medicine, politics, and national affairs as he anticipates his 90th birthday celebration tomorrow, on Monday, March 18.

Reflecting on the Nigerian Army, Chief Majekodunmi acknowledges both its virtues and vices, emphasizing the need for discernment and integrity in military service. Recounting incidents of unjust accusations and political intrigue within the army, he underscores the importance of cautious speech and conscientious conduct to avoid dire consequences.

Addressing his own tenure within the military, Chief Majekodunmi sheds light on his decision to retire, citing clashes with the oppressive regime of General Abacha over issues of healthcare provision and welfare concerns for soldiers under his care.

Offering astute assessments of past Nigerian leaders, Chief Majekodunmi contrasts the leadership styles of figures like General Obasanjo and General Abacha, highlighting their respective approaches to governance and treatment of diverse ethnic groups within the nation.

Sharing anecdotes from Obasanjo’s personal history, including familial ties to the Igbo community and his advocacy for Igbo political candidates, Chief Majekodunmi provides nuanced perspectives on the complex interplay of ethnicity and politics in Nigeria’s sociopolitical landscape.

In his candid appraisal of General Abacha’s regime, Chief Majekodunmi condemns the dictatorship’s repressive tactics, including the use of extrajudicial violence and suppression of dissenting voices, underscoring Abacha’s lasting negative impact on Nigeria’s political history.

Throughout his reflections, Chief Majekodunmi offers valuable insights into Nigeria’s past and present, urging for a future marked by accountability, inclusivity, and respect for human rights…… CONTINUE READING

If this is true then the igbo empire just got extended by more than a million times.

Who else realizes that a lot of yoruba leadership might be actually igbo offspring, I mean how do i explain to my children that the highest ranking yoruba man in leadership, achievement, world ranking etc is actually an igbo man.

Obasanjo , Igbo man ? i don't think so. but in Nigeria, nothing is impossible.

shocked

You Africans are clownish comedians grin! So, let's assume his father was Igbo; does this mean Obasanjo wouldn't inherit his mother's physical features?

By the way, can we see his mother's pictures? Most Yoruba people I've come across had similar facial features but hey before you misquote me, this does not mean the Igbos don't have such features.

Imagine West Africans thinking they look so different from each other grin. They do but not like you're portraying. I would have accepted him into the Igbo nation but I can't forgive him for what he did to the great Fela.

It simply means an Igbo man has been President. Therefore, 2023 wasn't the turn of the SE but the SW.
