So if it wants an internal rail that lie just inside the state that is justified given its size

All you need to do is open a map Niger can connect to Abuja,Ilorin Kebbi,Kaduna,Lokoja,Zamfara and Benin Republic

If Niger state is completely blocked you have cut off the NW from the SW and NC.
You can even bypass Kwara through Kogi from Sokoto but how do you bypass Niger??

are you aware that Niger state is bigger than the whole of South East even combine with delta, Rivers and Akwa ibom state. So is not bad to have enugu-port Harcourt -sapele railway and you can get the same distance inside Niger state.

Has it ever occurred to you that if rail transportation suffices, the stress on our roads would be less, which would in turn provide succour to the roads The lesser stress our roads undergo on a daily basis, the lesser and longer it takes for the roads to deteriorate.

Railway are good but i believe this should not be top on their priority list, rails are for super states like Lagos,rivers,f.c.t and anambra. They should focus on security,agriculture and electricity so as to lift people from poverty first,most of them cannot afford train tickets.
