Why are some people twisting the story to exonerate terrorist Nigerian army that is well known for brutalizing unarmed civilians? They said soldiers came to make peace, probably someone from the other community having crises with Okuama have a close relationship with the army so he called the army who should have left after meeting with the community leaders but because they are bias, they wanted to arrest the Okuama community leaders and in the process the community youths tried to stop them from taking their leaders away, knowing how brutal and unfriendly Nigerian soldiers are, they must have felt insulted as the community youths stopped them from taking away the community leaders and probably shot some of the outspoken youths which led to pandemium and probably more shooting. Maybe one of the community youths who have a brother in one militant group called to alert his brother of how soldiers shot and killed their people and they probably mobilized and ambushed the soldiers as they were leaving the community. This must be what played out. Nigerian army are not disciplined neither do they treat unarmed civilians like humans, this is well known 2 Likes |

Exactly. It's just sad reading a lot of comments supporting these killings. They conveniently overlook the double standard. Those who killed the soldiers must be fished out and punished, even executed if necessary. However, killing unarmed citizens is a no. Immediately the news of the soldiers' killing broke, we all knew the entire community was done for and now that's played out with fellow Nigerians supporting it just because they see these people not as Nigerians but as enemies. It's pathetic Well, all those supporting the killings can continue but when it's your turn, don't expect anyone to stand for you. AustineE1: 2 Likes |

FuckOsuPigs: Happened before retaliation and killing of the soldiers. They came for peace talk as a result of clash between the communities and probably wanted to talk to leaders of both communities at their base which is normal but their refusal confirmed to soldiers that they re violent n culprit. 1 Like 1 Share |

Forumites:Wait a minute, the solders attacked them twice? There was no reported case of solders attacking communities in the media. No picture or video evidence even in this age of social media? We only heard of killings when the solders were massacred. If they talk of attack after the killing of solders I will believe the story. 1 Like |

TCF1980: what triggered ODI is similar to what just happened, and the fact that it happened in riverine area again leaves little or no doubt ODI happened at a time, social media or camera phones were almost non existences ... but what the military did in ODI is evidence till now, Whatever happened in ODi OBJ & the military did with there full chest, from emotional side it might not be justifiable but it was a good deterrence, imagine about 20yrs after we are having a re-occurence 1 Like |
