Ask her to reduce her intake of processed carbohydrates like normal bread, rice, semo and the likes.

They cause the amount of insulin in the bloodstream to shoot up too high which triggers the ovaries to produce more male hormones. The male hormones will now stimulate the hair follicles in the face to grow very thick hair like a man.

She can as well treat it superficially by sourcing a clinic that offers laser hair removal therapy. They will target hot laser beams directly at the hair follicle. As they die off, no more hair.

Try not to be tempted into taking these injections, creams and tablet that people offer. Unless she does a full examination which deems them necessary.

Taking an injection that will alter hormones without a full hormonal profile is not the smartest idea. Most of the time these things require simple lifestyle solutions like diet and exercise. not injecting yourself with all sorts.

It is as a result of hormonal I'm balance. She has a higher level of testosterone than is normal in an average female and probably higher than in many men.

Can testosterone be increased/reduced through the use of tablets

A little Googling would've let you know she's got hirsutism. While it could be a symptom of something else, in most cases, it's not and no treatment is required. It's sad that people aren't very tolerant of individual differences/uniqueness despite the education level in the country.
And you think, nigerians are educated? grin.

Can't you see, how these illiterates on this forum feed on bush meats from forests.

Most Nigerians are uneducated.

DancingDagger:

In general, women do not naturally grow beards to the same extent as men due to differences in hormone levels. The growth of facial hair, such as a beard, is primarily driven by the hormone testosterone, which is typically present in higher levels in men than in women.

However, some women may experience increased facial hair growth due to various reasons, including:

1. **Hormonal Imbalance**: Conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) can cause an increase in male hormones (androgens) in women, leading to symptoms like hirsutism (excessive hair growth, especially in areas where men typically grow hair, such as the face).

2. **Genetics**: Some women may have a genetic predisposition to increased facial hair growth, which can be influenced by family history.

3. **Medications**: Certain medications, such as corticosteroids or hormonal treatments, can sometimes lead to increased facial hair growth in women as a side effect.

4. **Age**: Hormonal changes that occur with aging can sometimes result in increased facial hair growth in women.

If a woman is experiencing excessive facial hair growth or other symptoms that may be related to hormonal imbalance, it is recommended to consult with a healthcare provider for proper evaluation and diagnosis. Treatment options may include hormonal therapy, medications, or other interventions depending on the underlying cause.
Is it possible that after the treatment the facial hair growth would stop?

She can but she will follow a similar diet to a diabetic patient. since this excess hair issue is an insulin problem just like diabetes.

Unripe plantain, oats, and the rest.

That’s hirsutism. Probably due to excessive male androgens in her blood. It can be treated.

PCOS which is a hormonal issue for women, causes this when there is too much progesterone in the woman's body. It is a health condition. She can go to the hospital and they will place her on hormonal drugs, to reduce it. A good hospital with a good gynaecologist.
