I don't get the real taste of food when I eat. Is it malaria or typhoid? The soup I I made is just tasting bitter in my mouth and I didn't use bitter leaf.

I ate okpa, it has a bland test as against the usual strong opa taste. I didn't enjoy it.

I started malaria treatment yesterday even though I'm not having malaria symptoms.
Should I also do typhoid treatment?

Tve do all of the above but forgot to tell the doc about bitter taste in mouth. He already gave a a prescription but the drugs are much. I hate taking so many drug at a time.

You could opt for injection if the prescribed medication are much.
In the absence of that, swallow is your next alternative.
Bury the tabs in small morsels and use good soup to escort them down.

You may actually be suffering from Dysgeusia though I'm not sure but some common causes may be , GERD, pregnancy, , pine nut syndrome, illnesses, stress, and nerve damage, poor oral hygiene/oral infections and bacteria infections.

You could even be reacting to medications, but the most common reason for sudden bitter taste in African women is Aging, pregnancy or Menopause.

It should go by itself, but if you're in a rush.

Drink lots of water.
Avoid your tongue coming in contact with metallic objects.
Avoid sugar for now.
Do not smoke for now.
Discontinue using any unnecessary drugs for now.
Brush your teeth and tongue before every meal.
Lemon is good.

However, if problem persists after 7 days. You need to visit your physician.

BTW, you never see anything. Sheybi na me you dey abuse?

Don't assume that it is Typhoid. Take this blood tonic called "Oreptal". It would make you regain your appetite.

Include Vitamin C and Fruits like water melon, pineapple and others.
