Hi everyone. I am building a duplex in Nigeria.
I am currently confused between putting Nigerian iron doors locally made by Nigerian welders or the doors imported from China or Turkey.
There are about 26 places to put doors.
These are my budget

1. One million for the two entrance doors (ground floor and first floor entrance)

2. 400k for the door in awaiting room

3. 120k each for the rest of the doors

Total budget for doors #3,300,000.

Based on the budget, what advice do you have for me?
I will still consult my engineer but I wanna hear diverse opinions especially from those that have already built houses in Nigeria or into door business.

Truth be told.... you have the cash to spend.. I will request you import your doors becuse this days welders aren't giving joy like back days... iron doors don't hold or protect anytin this days.. I will be sincere due to wicked handwork men this days be prepared for poor material usage or better stroll find trusted someone who will always watch out on materials used to build the doors... my humble suggestion

There is a welder I met in a telegram group telling me that foreign doors are nonsense and usually built with compressed tissue pepper that Nigerian used doors are the best and last long.
He might be talking because he is into the welding business that's why I want to get diverse opinions on this issue.

Don't work from far bro.... go and buy the materials your self... they have gauge by guage. Thickness buy thickness... Hahahaha e get shoe dem go use match some iron door.. from hinges and it will open like it was just glued not fabricated.... the China door or turkey doors to get isn't the famous ones we know... the heaviness and strength of materials will tell u that u got the best... Do you have any pictures of the durable China or Turkish doors to recommend?
I am on budget, highest 3.5 million on doors.
I have already spent heavily on the windows, plastering etc
