but a dollar was 1500- 1900 at official-parrallel under this calamitous Tinubu regime a couple of weeks back.

putindbutt

How do you measure performance?

Tinubu government met Naira exchanging at N780 to a dollar, Crashed it to the extent that it almost getting to 2000 to a dollar

Nigerians will take Tinubu serious when Naira begin to exchange at below N700 to a dollar.

For now, it's all propaganda
Obviously you don't know the meaning of floating, go and learn the meaning, then come back.

Let me ask.

Is our currency being floated?

Because when it was first told by the Tinubu government, which led to the naira crashing against the dollar at an alarming rate, Tinubu supporters argued that the naira was not floated but finding its true value.

So I ask again: is our currency floated?

Is innoson the only indigenous vehicle assembler. We have Nord, Gac, Peugeot. Why always singling out one
. Innoson is manufacturing because most of his body parts are locally sourced and made. He buys engine and their components from outside while most of the other parts are made locally unlike others that import complete knock-down cars to assemble.

Secondly, he has the highest capacity and he has started producing CNG trucks unlike other companies yet to start assembling such.

Economics is not propaganda

If it is working, it will reflect on the livelihood of the common man. If it's not working, no amount of propaganda can change it.

Hawkersv:
President Bola Tinubu has assured that the current momentum that Nigerians are seeing with respect to strengthening of the naira against other major currencies including the dollar will be sustained and not going to slow down.

This disclosure is contained in a press briefing by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, with State House correspondents on Friday, March 22, 2024.

Ngelale said the efforts put in place by the president in collaboration with other agencies of government and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), in dealing decisively with sharp practices on certain cryptocurrency trading platforms, dealing decisively with sharp practices within the parallel market of the foreign exchange ecosystem are now yielding fruit.

"Is beating" is continuous
"Will beat" continuing into the future
"Had beaten" past perfect. (Not here yet)).

The first two will eventually give birth to your last sentence. Economics is far from nsogbu nsogbu
Teacher don’t teach me nonsense.

“Will beat” isn’t continuous. It’s a future tense.

“Will beat” is different from “will continue to beat”. Read the title again. The later was used.

“Will continue to beat” means what is happening now & will keep happening in the future.

Beat in this context means CONQUER, SUBDUE, trash, to defeat or do better than.

Now teacher, show me where the “will continue to beat” is happening? That is Naira continuing to SUBDUE, TRASH or do better than the dollar? I’m waiting.

Economics is far from awa l’okan & emi l’okan.

From what I read from you, English isn’t your forte.

Contextual analysis. Study it

Also, take into account, the linguistic environment.

The context here is "naira is having a good run against the dollar"

Thanks though.

Then the choice of word(s) should have been different. Beat means beat no matter the context.

“Naira will continue to Beat US dollar” doesn’t imply “Good run against the dollar”

We have agreed to buy made in Nigeria but you should try to persuade our governors to patronize innoson who is into manufacturing and other vehicle assembling companies in Nigeria.
