FirmTR:And this man will drink pure water and throw nylon on the floor. This man will defecate inside gutter, or look for an uncompleted building. Clean yanch and Yab Tinubu for the dirty state of his street. Nigeria is you. Treat it better and see better. 1 Like |

Our problem in Africa is lack of willpower for long-term city planning and enforcement. We scatter buildings anyhow without a laid down grid mapping or rule. Even the skyscrapers in Lagos are scattered - no alignment, like it's in developed countries. |

christejames: The French actually wanted Algeria to be France. They relocated French people enmasse to live in Algeria because they had a profound love for the country. But the British will have none of that, so the British supported an Algerian armed uprising which resulted in France leaving Algeria and the subsequent Algerian independence. 2 Likes |

^^ The Algerian Revolution. I wrote about Ibadan houses and someone quoted me, I can't remember. What we admire about the ancient buildings of colonialists is what we hate about ourselves. They preserve their own as part of history and legacy, they make us destroy our own. The images we have in our heads is because they wanted us to hate what is ours. Many people here abuse Ibadan buildings? Why?Because it is brown roof. When the Italians show them Venice waterside, they begin to see what waterside in Lagos, Delta can look like. Why are the old Malian sites being destroyed by militants? If everything you build is new, new, new, you have no story to tell about yourself. This is why people see Dubai as an artificial city. What we need is CLEANLINESS and maintenance. Someone with a pro camera will turn a slum to a mansion. In reality, when you go to Paris Eiffel towers, it is not totally the fine images you see. So what am i saying? Clean and maintain. Like what is yours. Be original |

JagabanB: You are referring to a region that was denied international access (international airports) for decades on. Do you know the impact to the economy and development to such region? Systemic subjugation? And it was denied all other federal infrastructure as well (federal being because Nigeria centralized development BY FORCE). Do you think that the East would not have left Nigeria in the dust if it had international access, and control of its own security (like regional police for example)? Why do you still have people saying openly that the Igbo must never be allowed to be president? What are they afraid of? Why are you not allowing them to form a separate country instead? Let me make a prediction: Nigeria 20 years from now will be far worse than Nigeria today. Because of your hate of your own salvation. God's promise to Abraham is actually the same he made to Igbo: I will bless those that bless you, and I will curse those that curse you. |

onumadu:As usual, blame people. Who centralized power? Aguiyi Ironsi, an Igbo. Who objected to secession clause being inserted into Nigeria's constitution? Nnamdi Azikiwe, an Igbo. Who first fought against secession from Nigeria? Ojukwu, an Igbo and Ironsi, an Igbo against Isaac Boro. Now, since 1999, lgb0 leaders have been receiving allocations from FG, what have they built with it? Nothing, no single world class infrastructure since 1999, so what exactly are you saying? |

JagabanB: Close Lagos international airport and Lagos sea ports just for 20 years, and make Enugu or Anambra airports the only international airports in Nigeria, and Port Harcourt the only international seaports. Never even mind 20 years, 10 years will do the trick. After that let me see if South west won't be sent back to the dark ages. You people are the most wicked cynical narcissists in the world, but you project it on others. Good news is that Nigeria will never ever ever ever develop until it either accepts to allow merit (which Igbo will win for sure) to run the country or breaks up. How do i know? I know because Naira is currently exchanging at more than N1000 per dollar. In the early 90s, if anyone told Nigerians that such a thing would happen they would have laughed it off. Keep hating Igbo and keep rigging in mentally inferior people, and keep expecting nirvana. |
Re: Algiers, Algeria(picture) by JagabanB: 8:31pm On Mar 25 |
onumadu:You didn't counter any of the stuffs I said, did you? If the base it on merit, no lgb0 will ever qualify to presîdènt, ur sh*tty governors or senators are the ones who are qualified? |
