That road was awarded since Buhari's tenure. It is the Abuja-Lafia-Makurdi-Enugu road. The Abuja-Lafia-Makudi is almost done and the second phase which is Makurdi-Enugu is ongoing.

It is the same road that FG said it was going to build a flyover at the wurukum part of Benue state. Dave Umahi said they were going to include the flyover in the project when he visited the state at Agan toll gate during an inspection visit. Only for me to read here on nairaland where a sponsored post was claiming that it was Alia who was going to be the one building the flyover. E shocked me sha.

I believe this road is a further extension of the Abuja-Keffi-Makurdi dualisation project. The Abuja-Makurdi part of the project has long been completed during the tenure of Buhari.

The Makurdi-Otukpo-9th mile stretch of the road is what remains. This road has huge economic potentials for Nigeria.

It is a Chinese government funded project and will be tolled. The Nigerian federal government committed less than 30% to the cost of the project.

At last. This is long overdue.
Traveling from Makurdi to Otukpo has been hell over the past few years.
