7.2 million for a registered 2010 Corolla?

Tell yourself the truth, can you buy it for this amount?

Exchange rate and clearing cost

How does exhange rate and clearing cost affect a car that is already registered and used in Nigeria. A 7.2m for a Nigerian used is too much.

We're our problem in this country. Check the custom duty of this particular vehicle, you'll find out it was shipped into Nigeria over 10 years ago

Then leave op's car and go buy toks

E no force you to buy

Price of naija used cars and their toks counterparts go hand in hand because all of dem na 2nd hand.. Some naija used cars are even better than the so called "toks"...

Besides seller of naija used car has to sell at current market rate if he wants to get current value and purchasing power similar or a bit close to what he paid for the vehicle years ago.. The 2.5m which he possibly paid for the car as toks in 2019 has near same purchasing power as 6m+ today.. If he paid 2.5m for the car when bag of rice was 7k, he can't sell it for same 2.5m now wey same bag of rice is around 100k..in fact 2.5m as at 2019 had more value and purchasing power than today's 7m..

Dont look at the price figures.. Look at the current purchasing power of the figures.

If you disagree, put your own car in sale for the same price you bought it five years ago..

I understand what you are trying to say but the fact still remains that car is expensive. The price of that car shouldn’t be more than 5-6m at most, my brother bought this same car February this year for 4.2M. Nairaland dealers just like to overdo things and inflate prices.
