But Reflect7 is correct. There are more Asian immigrants in Japan than Africans. In fact, there are more Thais in Japan than Americans. The criterion to qualify for this visa is quite high (minimum N3 level in Japanese), no route to permanent residency and participants get to leave the country after five years.

However, I don't know where Reflect7 aka Rossikk got the information that the entire number of Africans in Europe isn't up to one million. Does this number exclude North Africans?
