A UK Parliamentarian has revealed has former head of State, General Yakubu Gowon lifted unspecified huge amount of money from Nigeria's Central Bank to London.

This was during a call to fight corrupt practices in the country.

He wasn't in Nigeria when he was ousted in a coup so he couldn't have taken money from CBN to UK. He flew from the OAU meeting to UK without coming back to Nigeria. Perhaps the guy is confused.

Those who stopped the teaching of history in schools have done a lot of damage indeed.
