Three weeks ago, Canadian dollar was N1,213. Today, it is N715. Pounds was N2,105, today, it is N1,300.

I'm just telling you so that you don't think Naira is fighting only USD.

So is Nigeria Govt defending all currencies of the world?

Nobody is subsidizing anything.... Naira is gaining it real value without being defended like the way hard earn currency being used in the past .

That's because conversion of other currencies actually depends on dollar.

Other currencies depend on the dollar rate, so you don't need to defend them.

That reply ought to have shut you up. Your insistence on being ignorant is a slap on your education or rather lack of it.

People mumu sha. Enemies of the country just don't want to hear any good news about Nigeria.

They don't understand when currency is being defended. If the CBN defends Naira, the rate will be fixed, and subsidy will be paid on it only to benefit the rich (banks, aboki & CBN staff doing roundtripping).

A defended currency will not be appreciating daily like the Naira is doing. It is always fixed. Example of this is when USD was sold by Emefiele at the rate of 400 naira and black market was selling same for 750. They deliberately created that gap to benefit their cronies and the nation was paying subsidy for a select few, not even the eligible customers.

This post makes you to understand that some Nigerians are oppoaite of what they preach online.
This is to tell you that some Nigerians are not really after the betterment of the country, they just want their preferred candidates at the government position.
