Majority of the MDA'S make money in foreign exchange, how many of the MDA's are in their majority?

Abeg dey lie small small jare
Thr majority of that money is made in dollar. Customs and FIRS are the major contributors to that revenue and they make the majority of those funds. And yeah z they make their revenue (most of it) in dollars. Custom rate is charged in dollars and tax on foreign expatriates is charged in dollar not forgetting that immigration also charge in dollars. So, keep quiet.

No be everything you go dey chook mouth.

he is right. If the nnpc was among mdas, of course they would remit dollar equivalent including customs. Remember cost of things went up as well due to dollar rise.

With all this revenue generated by forcing the masses to pay more, what has been the impact. He didn't increase salary and am sure 50% of the money will be looted
Ib] I can see that you lack knowledge about revenue generation. As long as there is no new laws imposing new lines of revenue or increasing what was being paid in the preceding years, the only way to increase revenue is blocking the leakages. This is the area where Tinubu is getting this huge revenue. I know this is too big for you, it's not as simple as digging borehole in one extreme end of a northern village, this is government at its finest show some respect.[/b]

Lmaooo Convert both to official exchange rate during the said period let's see something

This APC government think we are all like APC supporters are

February 2022 exchange rate official was 430

154 billion was roughly $360 million

Exchange rate as at February 2024 was about 1900 and 681 billion was roughly $360 billion

So where then is the growth ?
The dollar mentality is you guys hangover. You didn't get the import of the effort. Is it every MDA that earn its income in dollar? No wonder the rate of dollar determines the price of vegetables in Nigeria.

Thank you mr Minister for the job well done, we have seen great improvement on generating side, but the major problem we have in Nigeria is that, even when little was generated, that little one is being looted by top civil servants and politicians. This is mainly achieved through contract inflation and collection of money on unexecuted projects. Let take an instance where nass budgeted 190 million naira to sink a borehole, in which it has been argued that 10 million naira will successively sink it according to PO, also, the recent east / west road from Lagos to Calabar they claimed it will cost about 13 billion Dollars, it has also be established that a longer road in Morocco cost less than two billions Dollars, even Alhaji Atiku Abubakar openly came to allege that the contract was fraudulent, the list goes on and on. If one have access to MDAs and see how much they normally budget for set of computer and printer, those that are familiar with these items will definitely curse these officials. The conclusion is, if in Nigeria the cost of contract is always inflated between 6 to 10 times the actual cost, the masses will never benefit anything from additional revenue that is accrued to any government.

Good observation.we will also check it out in 2months time.we will know if ur analysis is true because most of the MDA collect revenue in naira and not dollars.
