A 27-year-old man identified as Daniel Otuechere has been arrested by men of the Abia State Police Command over the alleged murder of his neighbour, 23-year-old Hope Chinedu Prosper.

The father of the deceased Hope Oluoha, 52, who resides in Agbo Emede Ibeku Umuahia had earlier in the week reported to the police that the accused person took his son to an unknown destination and returned home with his lifeless body.

An anonymous source told ABN TV that the body was taken to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.

Detectives from the Command have visited the scene and the body of the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary for autopsy.

Poor journalism, they should have interviewed the suspect to know what really happened. It doesn't look like murder for him to come back with the corpse instead of disposing it.
