Also, still on Security, Nigeria is expected to take delivery of six M-346 fighter aircraft by the end of 2024.

This delivery will form phase one of a total of 24 aircraft that will be delivered in four phases as part of efforts to bolster the effectiveness of Nigerian Air Force.

Nigeria also secured an agreement for the Italian aircraft manufacturers for maintenance support for a minimum of 25 years, thereby reducing fears of possible mismanagement in the long term.

The aircraft offers prospects of close air support, air interdiction, and tactical reconnaissance as the Airforce continues to effectively decimate terrorists and insurgents across the country.

Re: Oluremi Tinubu Slips Navy Patrol Vessels Into Water by naptu2(op):
This ceremony is usually performed by women. In the UK it is usually performed by female members of the Royal Family and in Nigeria it is usually performed by the First or Second Lady.

In the US it is usually performed by the wife of a senior government official (usually the wife of the president, vice-president, governor or mayor).

Patience Jonathan slipped NNS Centenary into the water in China in 2014 and inaugurated NNS Thunder in 2012 and Aisha Buhari slipped an LNG vessel into the water in Korea in 2016.

In some places the vessel is slipped into the water by breaking a bottle of champagne across its bow.

So from the 200 million people in Nigeria, we can't put resources together to build our own ships. A technology that has existed for centuries. This is shameful
