Ain't there inequality among animals.....?! As wife of the President could take up non state functions on a subtle way to redefine leadership. We must have education that has basis. It's not in our Constitution. So, if a new President without a wife comes along...what will suffice...?! Madam, you're a Senator. Please , remember your Yah is watching. Leave that office ASAP. |

Beautiful for My country Nigeria even though Idiots are are at the helm, but I am loyal to the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria not tribe or religion. Watch Agbadorians attack my patriotism comparing their fake patriotism to nationalistic patriotism. Remember I will yab prophet Mohammed and allah if you quote me or your papa. |

Re: Oluremi Tinubu Slips Navy Patrol Vessels Into Water by naptu2: 10:37am On Apr 21 |
The first question we need to ask is, "What is a constitution"? The second question we need to ask is, "What does this ceremony have to do with the constitution"? The third question is, "Is this ceremony mentioned in the constitution"? The fourth question is, "If the Nigerian Navy invites the widow of an admiral to slip the ship into the water, would the name of the widow have to be in the constitution"? Remember, the Navy can invite anybody to slip the ship. The person doesn't have to be a government official. 1 Like |

Tetrahedron: Shut up and learn This ceremony is usually performed by women. In the UK it is usually performed by female members of the Royal Family and in Nigeria it is usually performed by the First or Second Lady. Patience Jonathan slipped NNS Centenary into the water in China in 2014 and inaugurated NNS Thunder in 2012 and Aisha Buhari slipped an LNG vessel into the water in Korea in 2016. In some places the vessel is slipped into the water by breaking a bottle of champagne across its bow. Rf; naptu2 1 Like |

weslay: 😂🤣🤣🤣😂 Nigeria ? A country that is still battling with mere electricity? Education in Africa is to get certificate. ....Take a look at Nigeria, a country that look down on technical students . But embrace a Bsc holder with less to nothing in their skulls... How many Nigerian graduates are employable? Mind you how many countries in the world can build ship? Japan , china and Korea are known to build most the ships....some countries like France , Italy , Turkiye , Germany, Finland and India are also among . |

US Navy warships are usually launched by the wife of the governor of the state where the ship has its home port or by the wife of the mayor of the city where the ship has its home port. |

Re: Oluremi Tinubu Slips Navy Patrol Vessels Into Water by naptu2: 10:48am On Apr 21 |
In this case it was the wife of a senator (Senator Tester) that launched the ship. She gave the ship its name (USS Billings) and smashed a bottle of champagne across its bow and the ship fell into the water. Then the US Navy band played Anchors Aweigh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Cnly179C8g?si=Xtho9ZYDeO79Cnl6 |

I just don't understand the envy in some people about a country getting it's naval forces equipped. Onestly I don't think these set of people are Nigerians? |

So what will happen if Nigerian Navy gets a full blown set of it's own naval air assets? These people will just die |

Michelle Obama launching a US Navy submarine. She gave it its name (USS Illinois), then she tried to break a bottle of wine on its side. The bottle didn't break the first two times, but it broke on the third try. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmdYIsjtypw?si=kw1GV3XQsmAl-88o 1 Like 1 Share |

1970 Princess Anne launches a new frigate for the Royal New Zealand Navy. The way she launched it is similar to the way that Mrs Tinubu launched the OPV. She struck a hammer on a pad and the ship slipped into the water from the rear. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OSYvyINvXk?si=J6Ud7gG7zl5009_M |

chiiraq802: Nigeria has no external threats. Nigeria has internal threats only because of the fraudulent political structure of Nigeria which robs the oil producing areas to pay huger oil proceeds to the barren areas of the country. To clamp down resentment on the shortchanged areas of the country is reason why Nigeria's government acquires sophisticated weapons. If Nigeria is not restructured politically to True and Fiscal federalism as obtained in other pluralistic countries, it may end up spending most of its proceeds from oil on sophisticated weapons. |

Where's Badaru (the minister of defence)? Man has been missing from public glare for weeks now and it's almost like Matawalle, who's the junior minister, is now substantive as he represents the defence ministry in almost all its public events. Meanwhile, this OPV is all thanks to the PMB administration whose military renewal and upgrade efforts will remain unparalleled for many more years to come. |
