So recently I have been thinking, how do you charge your 3s battery with solar controller?

Due to the fact that most pwm controller has max bulk charge at 14.4v.

Don't you think running 4s is a more better option

the controller I posted up there has both 3s and 4s lithium profile, 4s configuration is not good for most 12v inverters in the market as the maximum voltage they can work with is 15.5v, 3s will also limit you to around 50% of your battery capacity as most inverters shut down around 10.5v. 7s and 14s is the best configuration for li-ion cells

Personally I don't think it is unless the building is a storey building without a thunder arrestor installed. Ac and DC SPDs are a must sha

How can one tell that an inverter is Pure sine wave and not modified sine wave at first use?

It has come to my notice that many modified sine wave inverters are advertised as Pure just so they can be sold at a higher price.

usage from a 1kw diy lithium ion (12v 3s) battery, usage has been poor, because it shuts down at 11v powering just a 90w tv for two hours, the UPS is not efficient with power, I ordered a 2600w pure sine wave sachet inverter from aliexpress and it has arrived my state, hopefully I get it this week, I'll keep the house updated on how it goes.

he can divide the cells into 2 and use with the pwm controller if he knows his way around it, voltage will be reduced from 36v to 18v thereby doubling the current

A 3s Li-ion is at 0% at 9v (3v per cell). However, you won't find and inverter that'll go that deep before it shutdown.
