Agagu completed a term of four years. It was the second term election that he contested against mimiko, and the case dragged on for about two years before mimiko finally won 8n court.

Jonathan contested in 2015 and the law was enacted in 2018, it doesn't affect Jonathan, he still till tomorrow can contest.

There are loop holes around that law.

If the successor to Governor took oath of office in same calendar year in which an election into the office were held, his/her term in office is a deficit, and cannot count towards a full term.

If this is true, then why were there indications from people that Jonathan might run for president again in 2023? Some even claimed he bought the APC form. I'm sure there wouldn't have been such indications if this law really stand.
