It's not about enrolling in the Indian school that is the big issue, the symbolism of an exclusive school for Indians in a blackman country says alot but people don't understand these things |

Kajaard:oga, forget all this your grammar. No school in Nigeria should exclude Nigerians admission in their own country. When the school is not inside their embassy. Under no condition is that acceptable. |

YoshihideSuga: Both are not mutually exclusive, no foreigner under any guise should discriminate in your home country, if it's in their country it's a different thing. Nigerian major tribes are dumb as fck |

If they can't interact with other cultures, let them remain in their home country now. How will you carry and migrate somewhere, then say you can't interact. What's the point of moving there Jogs1900: |

No child is born speaking any particular language. Any child sent to a school with a foreign language used for instruction will pick it up within months. There's no excuse for said exclusion. jaxxy: |

Kajaard: YOUR angle to the school situation exonerates the management of any wrongdoing because it's basically useless for the local who wouldn't understand a word should s/he enrol in. Infact, there may, as a result, come up a legal case against them if any local had registered only to realize activities there are extremely tilted towards Indians language, culture and norms. Such parent/guardian would feel cheated and demand adjustment or refund because the ward/child won't get along in anything. |

Kajaard: Wrong! There are many Nigerians study Chinese at the Confucius Institute in UNILAG. Same for French language schools. What if there are Nigerian children whose parents want to have Indian-style education and language, should they be denied even in their country? This sort of nonsense can only happen in Nigeria. Foreigners subduing, relegating, alienating and even exploiting you in your country. |

Re: Lagos Indian School Where Nigerians Are Denied Admission by BinamRex: 5:31am On Apr 24 |
Kajaard: There is always a senseless Nigerian defending rubbish whilst trying to sound smart. You are a foolish person. Didn't you read where it was stated that to gain admission to the school, you must have an Indian passport as opposed to being fluent in Hindi? A Nigerian returnee from India won't be able to enroll his Hindi-speaking children in the school if he doesn't have an Indian passport. Doesn't this reek of racism? Do you think all Indians speak Hindi? There are Indians who do not speak Hindi but Malayalam, Urdu, etc. as their first language. The policy isn't just racist against Nigerians but against other Indians who do not speak Hindi. English is our official language. It also has official language status in India. Why bring your kids to an English-speaking country and enroll them in a school where they are taught in Hindi? How are they supposed to learn English so they can interact with other Nigerians? It's like taking your kids to the UK and enrolling them in a school where they are taught in Yoruba. How are they supposed to learn English to enable them to integrate with the host country? That is how some Nigerians are defending the Chinese supermarket that bars Nigerian shoppers in Abuja. Are you guys cursed? |

Re: Lagos Indian School Where Nigerians Are Denied Admission by litaninja(m): 2:33pm On Apr 24 |
There is no valid reason sir. The school needs to be open to all without discrimination of any sort. If its an indian language school, you send your ward there if you want them to imbibe the indian language, culture and curriculum. If i go to an hausa market, i'm going to look for hausa related items or ingredients. I won't get there to ask for igbo spices. Simple. jaxxy: |
Re: Lagos Indian School Where Nigerians Are Denied Admission by jaxxy(m): 2:51pm On Apr 24 |
litaninja: U seem to be confused. Its not a French or Indian language leaning school. It has its own curriculum which isn't for Nigeria. It is specific for kids from a particular country. Lebanese or British can't go there. I don't know what Nigerians are crying about. Once the expatriates or foreign community leaves that school will be shut down cos it serves no purpose. |

There are hundreds of schools in Canada, UAE, Saudi, Qatar and across middle east, Sri Lanka, uk and USA, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda etc Hundreds, They prefer their own Set Schooling Standard system and no wonder they are reaping fruits from it. There's absolutely no confusion. If i see an indian school in my home country and i take a fancy to having my child train there, indian language, curriculum, culture and all, then i can send them there. Anything otherwise, cannot be allowed. We know exactly what it is. We also know where it is. In Nigeria. They cannot discriminate during admissions. Simple. jaxxy: |
