The shocking resignation of a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has triggered mass resignation in the party.

Ihedioha has been in a running battle with Samuel Anyanwu on who controls the Party at the State level, a battle he seemed to have lost with the resolution at the recent PDP NEC meeting.

A Zonal Executive member, a member of the PDP Board of Trustees are amongst members who resigned from the Party with reports of more to come.
