I recently hosted my UK based cousin who I haven't seen in almost 14 years. I was 12 years old in 2010 when I last saw him physically although we have kept in touch through social media.

The kinds of stories he was telling me about the evil lives of Nigerians in the UK, Canada, US etc shocked me. Infidelity, fraud, prostitution is very common amongst them.

There's this account on IG hosted by a Nigerian Pastor based in Houston, Texas and his name is Dr Shola.

If you want entertainment, just follow Dr Shola's account because I suspect many of the producers in Nollywood (especially Yoruba Nollywood) are trying to produce fictionalised versions of the real life events that the good Pastor is dealing with as a marriage counselor.

I have made up my mind that if I ever japa before getting married, I will never marry a Nigerian woman abroad because they are very untrustworthy as you can see from the story below.

How can you take the opinion of one person as gospel truth?

There are a lot of decent Nigerians abroad likely some bad eggs. There are a lot of decent Nigerians at home and bad ones too so why the discrimination?

Nigerians are Nigerians anywhere they are. What is surprising there

This is the same Nigeria where men are lodging girls aged 14-18 in the numerous hotels around.

Same Nigeria where bosses, pastors, iman elders are sleeping with people’s wife and daughters with reckless abandon.

Same Nigeria were northerners dey marry children.

Bad things happen in Nigeria too. But in Nigeria social stigma will stop some people from growing wild. Abroad everyone minds their business and your personal life is 100% up to you.

I live abroad, there are good Nigerians and not so good interms of behavior however, the bad behaviors some exhibit were learned from back home.

Nigerians in Nigeria are far worse on every level. Here, they're afraid of the authorities,
back home you can bribe your way out of trouble
