I totally agree with prof, the media trial is uncalled-for there are many ways to get him if effcc truly means business. This is something they would done inconspicuously if not he would have been in their net long before now.

Anyone who knows how the laws ought to work will understand that the press conference was really unnecessary, the EFCC chairman had by the action shown his prejudices are outrightly against Yahaya Bello and that he can never get a fair hearing/prosecution from the EFCC even though we all know he is a thieving polithiefcians.....in saner climes, the EFCC chairman could be asked to recuse himself from the investigation and prosecution of Yahaya Bello or outrightly forced to resign due to his perceived bias against the ex-governor undecided undecided undecided

Meanwhile, prior to the media briefing, all of you have been accusing EFCC that is persecuting Bello. I know a guy that called me, and asked me, what did Bello do for Tinubu, for him to be persecuting him. (That was misconception in the media space)

I biliv that's more reason EFCC comes outside to explain their stand, .....yet you guys still blaming EFCC, infact you are now making Bello an hero.

If you guys don't stop all these nonsense, I pray for God intervention sha.

If govt fail u complaining, when they are working u still blame them.

Have u asked urself why Bello is resisting invitation/arrest? Whatever his eye see, he should face it squarely, even if EFCC goes against the law, it's none of ur business. So far they are doing justice to the matter.

It’s really stupid trying to please Nigerians. Now you have left the alleged thief to criticize his pursuers.

That’s Nigerians for you ooooo. There’s nothing you can do to please them. If he does what they even want , they will still criticize him. I have said it countless of time we deserve our leaders.

This is wrong how can you just charge someone for a crime without inviting and interrogating him? A criminal case for that matter.

EFCC needs to invite/arrest and interrogate him.
The offenses allegedly committed will be showed to him and be sure they really have a case before proceeding to charge him to court.

Sometimes the accused will defend or clarify some of or all the accusations and EFCC will realize they don't have a strong case against him/her and decided to drop some of or all the charges.

Imagine what a retired judge is saying.

I've once been invited by the FBI on a serious allegation, I was able to clarify everything and they discovered I knew nothing about the crime, they apologized and drove me back to my hotel.

Are you sure you read and understood my post? Or you're having problem with comprehension?

Can't you see "Invite/Arrest" in my post?

It's clear you're actually the dullard here

Since you can't comprehend simple sentence what I mean be say 😂 EFCC NEED TO INVITE OR ARREST YOU BEFORE CHARGING YOU TO COURT FOR THOSE CRIMINAL ACTS YOU DEY COMMIT.

Well, I will say he is using Nigerians style, harassing the government with the media, especially 'all eyes on the judiciary' these same Nigerians were attacking Buhari's government for shielding A.P.C corrupt government officials and going against the P.D.Ps, now the reverse of the coin and it is media trial. Expose every officials on the Internet too with fact the way you brought down Kemi Adeosun, went as far as C.S.U for the president, do this and let's know the government is biased. Somebody stole 84billion and some are shouting media trial. Biden is always in the news even for student protest, so what has he done wrong by updating the country?

Caramia2020:
Media trial as usual, it would have been better to take the matter to court n use the evidence already gathered. Efcc is good at making noise, we want to see results. Arrest Bello, they should also arrest Ganduje because the evidence is also available instead of doing media trial.

You don't get my points. Take for instance few days ago, the chairman was talking about how he went after his own kinsman, Agunloye. He was in another interview saying if he doesn't see Yahaya case to the end he'll do this and that, blah blah... He doesn't need all those unecessary vituperation. Action speaks louder than voice.

To what end is your intelligent analysis on the missing money of Kogi state. What’s the actual reality on ground. Instead of encouraging the man all we do is castigate someone trying his best. And of course no can be perfect except the critic.

Whoever criticizes the EFCC's action against Yahaya Bello is a fellow thief. Someone even suggested that that the EFCC should not have involved the media, so that the case can be swept under the the carpet. SHAME ON TO Unrepentant THIEVES.

Can I advice you to carefully listen to that press conference on you tube?
EFCC chairman clearly said its beyond his power to arrest, he invited Yahaya Bello for interrogation and not for arrest, he accorded him the necessary respect, called him and explained that he wants him to clarify the allegation against him, he even told him that his interrogation will be in his own (EFCC chairman) office because bello said he feels the journalist will be around, yet Bello refused to come..
He explained that it's not all cases that EFCC will win, (they win some, they lose some)

But, Bello told EFCC chairman to come interrogate him in his village..
Imagine nonsense

I didn't watch the interview, what do you expect as an ex governor and member of the ruling party he sees himself as been above the law. He believes nothing will happen at the end of it all.

Imagine the gut, but don't trust EFCC oh it's like the way police will pet you and even smile with you just to make sure you go to the station with him and once you enter station like this 😂 na slap be the next thing.

Bello himself na guyman so he no trust wetin EFCC boss dey talk but forget say he can only run but can't hide, he'll soon turn himself in or be arrested but at the end nothing may come out of these gragra drama.
