A 54-year-old Louisiana man, Glenn Sullivan Sr., has been sentenced to 50 years in prison and physical castration for the defilement of a 14-year-old girl. Sullivan pleaded guilty to four counts of second-degree rape and was sentenced to 50 years in prison. The case was opened after a young woman reported Sullivan raped her multiple times when she was 14. A DNA test proved Sullivan had impregnated her, and he had groomed the victim and used threats of violence against her and her family to prevent her from disclosing the rapes. District Attorney Perrilloux commended LPSO Detective Ryan Bernard and the young victim for filing the charges.
