Nigeria and Senegal may not be politically uniform but their youths have the same dream, to remove the elite threatening to destroy their future. The Senegalese youths have achieved that dream but Nigeria is too complex to achieve that. The biggest threat to the political elite is not Peter Obi but Obidients. Obidients are essentially youths who are tired of eating crumbs from the political elite and want their future to be solely in their hands and their choice was between Obi and Osinbajo, Osinbajo didn't go far while Obi decided to march on, hence the name Obidients. To be sincere, I think Peter Obi is only forerunner to this dream, the young honest person that will inherit this movement if it lasts long enough is the true beneficiary. The political elite aims to deplete the movement before the true blameless competent youth emerges.

I don't even care if he becomes President or not. But thanks to his influence, a qualified young leader doesn't have to be looking for godfathers like Tinubu and co. to sponsor him. He/she just need to present his CV of competence to Obidients and they will back him up

I agree. After all Obi's emergence led to me realizing that influencers who I thought shared the same wavelength with the disillusioned youths in this country actually want the political elite to remain so that they can continue to feed on crumbs from politicians. The same influencers that praised him before 2023 has seen he is a threat to the source of income from the political elite.
