Hmmm .... seems like the only record they have of prisoners is the count .... just imagine the confusion...
"The wall collapsed and some prisoners walked out ehmmm .... escaped ... we had 200 ... round up the remaining and give me a count.... oh.. you already did? ... good job ....95 remained? Let me go and make a press release.

What more are we expecting to hear? Do they even have the computers?...or sold/stole some and the remaining not working? The system need to be immediately investigated .... how can one recapture prisoners when they don't know who they are? The ones "recaptured" are most likely the ones who can't manage homelessness and hunger and decided to return.

My visit to a Prison in Kano State years back made me understand the level of decay, squalor and rot in the Correctional facilities in the Country .

All it will take is for heavy rains to fall and Evans or Rev King will be amongst the free folk again.

Many possible reasons:

1.
Some of the inmates might be hired or forced to use false identities to cover up for freed politically-influential criminals.

2.
The imprisonment of many of the inmates is not properly documented. Database is mentioned in the post. How many hours will it take to identify and copy the inmates details from the database?

3.
The actual number of the inmates might be less or more than the figure announced.

4.
Hardened criminals that are very useful to influential politicians might be among the inmates.

4.
The region mostly affected might be a factor here as the incident didn't happen where IPOB will be accused.

Organized jail break that has the hands of government officials

Because there no database record, they have no list or faces to release.......the one released for the last jailbreak had multiple faces for same names and multiple names for few faces......the NCS and by extension the ministry of interior is just a conduit for money by successive ministers and appointees. The ministry needs total revamp or outright scrapping or subjugation under another for proper and diligent supervision.
The same reason they're slow to fasttrack trials and decongest the prisons because the more in the prisoner headcount,the higher the ration allocation for the correctional centres

None of these news actually come with a picture of the fallen section of the prison... Really want to understand how a section of a prison fell and over 100 inmates escaped...
