We have many unfinished road projects in the country, and some of them are quite significant. Let the government complete those roads before initiating another major project. Tinubu intends to use this project for massive embezzlement, and I foresee it being abandoned before it even starts. |

turmacs:The problem with many tribalistic Nigerians in the South west is they lack common sense. You want your country to prosper but don't want the prosperity of your own "country-man" .I keep making reference to the great achebe in quote which says "In order to hold someone else down in the mud , you also have to remain down in that same mud ". The so called igbos run businesses that oil the economy and has ripple effects on your immediate society whether yoruba ,hausa or whatever. If you want to see them fall so bad , just like cutting your nose to spite the face. Then you better leave them be and start the long journey of building your own country without them. Countries do not stumble into greatness, without unity you just have a geographical contraption and your children will never know what a great country looks like. Make hay while the sun shines. We have lost so much already economically from this hate since the Civil War, we are holding the African continent backwards. |

emkz:Why is it difficult to comprehend things Or Are you just being mischievous 1.The beach owner said that he knew about the coastal road,Yes The road is supposed to go behind the Beach Do you know that the FG rechannelled the road? This is not where they wanted to build it 2.As for taking FG to court Do Nigeria government obey Court orders? |

turmacs:I am still surprised at how you conviniently link the demolition to a tribal attack on some ethnic groups! So the government cannot embark on any infrastructure project again in peace? |

turmacs:You might be right about certain observation BUt bring in tribalism into the landmark conversation is totally invalid No policy in Nigeria or Lagos singles out any tribe ... if its from the govt we all face the same challenge |

motymop:Was the federal government or Lagos govt sleeping when he was building the beach resort, you can't tell me that he didn't get permission from the federal and state government before carrying out such expensive project, that's will be a big lie..I strongly believe govt officials gave him approval because you can't build something this big and expensive without government approval. So the govt is at fault to even allow him carry such project knowing fully well there was already a master plan in the first place but they have collected bribe and look the other way now they are saying all form of rubbish. Let me say this Nigeria is a very lawless country, if this is UK or US or anywhere in Europe the govt must fully compensate for such losses before they can start destroying because the matter will be in court by now and they dare not do anything until the court says otherwise but as we dey Nigeria the federal government always think they are bigger than the court and they are above the law |

raumdeuter:Stop deviating. Your point was "Let him go and build anywhere he likes", implying landmark built anywhere they liked which clearly isn't true. |

Azzik:That's my main concern with this issue. As a country, we say we are trying to get investors, which investor would have the confidence to put down their money in a country where their investment can be up in flames few years down the line? |

yewit37486:Govt determines the use of the land, According to the Land Use act of 1978 all land belong to the govt. So let Tayo go and build his business and property anywhere or any country he likes, when the govt of the place bring bulldozer, he should relocate to another |
