Nope., GDP is based a few criteria that these countries have to met... Indicators are as population, Earning capacity of the average citizen, cost of living, and a whole lot more.. when you compare the average earning of Nigerian. You can tell from the data provided that average Nigerian doesn't earn enough to keep us up above the poverty line. The average Nigeria earns around $15-$20 per month. But in these top countries they earn way above that because the government regulates and monitors how people are paid for work done based on inflation projections, economic growth, population, Useful Capital investment and foreign investment in the county. So all these factors affect how much Nigerians earn and the GDP as well.. That will be a reason why Nigeria is not listed.

Population did not deal China any blow. Rather, they capitalized on it and became the factory of the world.

Unfortunately today, China's long term decline has began due to its over reliance on exports and excessive investment for economic growth.

Also, Xi Jinping has shot China in the foot by prioritising nationalism over economic growth.

I was surprised when I saw USA too...even Saudi Arabia that have been throwing money around are not even top 10.

To think I won a full scholarship at Macao University and turned it down for Scandinavian country. Well, I have no regret. Maybe I can visit in the neat future.

Nigeria problem is inflation and corruption.

GDP per capita is when you share the wealth to every living soul accordingly. And check who is richest. Most poor countries with fewer population will be on that list. That doesn't mean the country is richest or richer than US.
