motymop:Such a shame. I cannot believe that in this age, with all the claim of “I know it all”, a young so called educated Nigerian says beaches are not tourist sites. Are you one of those who go there to worship “mami water”? Na waoh! |

Lagos-Calabar coastal highway is far more important than any Landmark beach front or whatever he claims is on the coastline... The coastal highway will open up multi-million and multi-billion dollar investments along the route that will create x1000 more jobs than what Landmark is claiming now. LASG will still demolish the place and all buildings along that corridor when the yellow rail line starts, all the noise they are making is initial gra gra. |

motymop:Mumu-man, Tayo is lamenting about the wisdom of govt killing a tourism shoreline just to do road and this makes sense to everyone except you alone. Why these accusations of collecting monies from tourism investors ... don't YouTube pay him? Did I hear you say foreigners don't visit Landmark? Are you for real? |

Good investments must be lawful investments, otherwise it doesn't attract any good. So, did he rightly acquire the land from the government? If his case is an example of investment without adhering to the extant law, I don't think we should support it because such doesn't really encourage good investors except rats who bribe their way around so that they can steal the country dry. And, if he got himself there legally, are there grounds for getting to court to seek redress? Let's all support him all the way to that end if yes. Then, noting that Umahi has stated that compensations will be paid the affected individuals and businesses irrespective of whether they are legally there or not, then we should find out if his will be short of expectation so that we can make the right noise. |

flokii:That boy Tayo is suffering from Juvenile exuberant and deliquescent. He was a small street boy when Tinubu and Obasanjo was fighting over conservation and preservation of Victoria Island from being submerged by the Ocean. It is even very absurd that one person is taking the entire Lagos for a ride on our land. He is holding Lagos down for development because of his business. If VI had been submerged can we get Landmark? To worsen the matter he is not the only person affected. Is it because he is an IBO ? The indigenous Lagos people should never take it lightly with him. He wants to dictate governance to Lagos people. That is why they want Chinedu as governor. Their plan failed. The protection is not yet complete. Phase 2 should be able to complete the protection. Opportunities along that corridor on completion of the road project is enormous. |

People that are dead and people that have left Nigeria don't know what God has done for them. In another place, they would pass the high way beneath the resort. Why is fuel scarce and expensive now? We don't know. None of the several ministries could warn that fuel would be scarce, even when the ripple effects it has on everyone's life is significant. And you people get angry when whites see us as inferior? ![]() How come we still struggle with very solvable problems? ![]() |

professorPABX:He is well travelled, reason I'm surprised with this his outburst. I hope he will take time to study the laws of FRN and retrace his steps. Landmark is an illegal occupant in a public property and infact ought to be prosecuted and all the gains he made over the years retrieved from his accounts. |

Charlie2020:Their was an original route that ran behind landmark facilities along water corporation but they had to kill the man's business by passing the super highway along the beachfront.........even if the beach was eventually sand filled by Eko Atlantic.......landmark would have had the opportunity to construct an artificial lake or massive swim pools but they have eliminated that option also! They did him wickedly! |

Reflect7:You just rushed to quote the part that favors you, didn't you get it that they altered the plan after he knew about the road project that the road should run behind it? The contractors should just build it flyover along that beach line to maintain the area |

The relevant political pressure groups need to rely less on that Ghana troll house. The kids there flooding Niraland and other Nigeria social media spaces with Igbo marginalisation sound bites are rather foolish. They let down and undermine the great intelligence for which Igbo people are renowned. |

A lot of naive people on this thread. The policy somersault of our policy makers is actually the biggest threat to business owners in Nigeria. Today you are here, tomorrow there was no here as you had thought. Smh |

Ikaeniyan0:When it comes to investments worth, it's not only structure. name, fame, worth, services, manpower etc. Have you been to that hotel before? I had been there twice and spent weeks, my bills at the hotel and beach runs into millions. That business will be bringing at least, 50 million everyday. If not more. So do your math's in a year. That's also how you calculate the worth of a business |

We know how lawless these people are so the govt should check every document he has and they will find where he cut corners and hold him there. He can then be charged for the cost of demolishing the glorified kiosks and fishpond, he can be made to spend more on court case too. |
