Our Administration Will Implement The New Minimum Approved By FG - Sanwo-Olu by Lanrelagboi(op): 6:54am On May 02, 2024

During the Workers’ Day celebration today, I assured workers in the State that our administration will implement the new minimum wage approved by the Federal Government.

I commended the workers for their dedication and emphasized our commitment to prioritizing the welfare of people through various initiatives and also reiterated our focus on creating a more inclusive and equitable society where workers are respected and empowered to thrive.

We will continue to invest in education, training, and skills development to equip our workforce with the tools they need to succeed in their places of work because we recognize the vital role that workers play in driving progress and prosperity in our society.

How much is a plate of food, transport, housing huh

Private businesses pay far less most especially private school salaries, 10K or 15K

We really need better labour laws.

Any worker that does not want the increment can resign or reject it and stays on old salary , it is welcome.

And to answer your question it is not mandatory any govt should first take permission from anybody to increase wages, ok.

you need to inform yourself, the increament is not minimum wage , it’s an increament that has been happening sequentially since early last year but this is the final phase for the last set of workers that’s why u are just knowing this. And it’s not 15percent it’s 35 percent. It’s called harmonization of salary structures. As a worker we accept this and when the minimum wage comes in it will be added . U don’t know anything about this I can tell.
