JAMB Results: Airtel Subscribers Unable To Check Their Results

Airtel subscribers across Nigeria are unable to access their Jamb results due to poor network service from Airtel.

In response to a message sent by SoccerLawyer to Airtelnigeria on social media, demanding a public statement from Airtel, Airtel helpline explained that the matter is currently being investigated.

It must be noted that many subscribers have spent over N1000 in a futile attempt to check their result. Airtel should publicly address subscribers and the public at large about the network challenge as this would enlighten its subscribers and prevent them from further wasting their time and airtime trying to check their results. Airtel should also stop collecting charges for services it is not providing as this constitutes fraud.

JAMB should equally make its portal available for checking results in line with its press release to journalists in which it listed its portal as another means of checking JAMB results.

Dear Airtel,

Thank u for nationally disappointing ur subscribers who cannot check their JAMB results bcs uv failed to provide the needed service. Today is the 3rd day. Unless u publicly address the issue and stop collecting charges, it follows that u're defrauding ur subscribers

Good morning ! I have been checking my daughter results since the announcement of the result by jamb board with the Airtel number that she use to register it ! To my surprise up till now jamb didn't send the result but deducting almost #1000 .

@JAMBHQ Please we Airtel user are having issue checking our jamb result "connection timed out after 30 sec" and some times no reply at all

I just checked my sister’s own with Airtel network, it showed. She scored 270

Exactly. It is pure extortion.
Before the new JAMB registrar arrival, applicants do receive their JAMB score as free SMS. Now, everything has been monetized from profile code creation to result checking via SMS.
People have made payment for online checking but the portal is still unavailable.

They want to make money via SMS checking before activating online result checking. That is double cost been incurred by the applicant.

Please EFCC should investigate Airtel cos lot of students are unable to check their utme results...More painful is that for every futile trial Airtel charges and Jamb charges #50 . I know a parent that has spent over #1500 in bid to check her children UTME Result

So fraudulent during my time it wasn't so and then the process was very easy

jamb self are scammers, imagine collecting #50 per request from over 1.8m people that did the exam and some people have checked like 5 times now without seeing it. Why not just making easy by making the results online? I want jamb to give me 5 sensible reason why the mobile checking is better than the online portal own.

Previously, candidates do receive their result as free SMS and make payment to print it online.

This could be deliberate because after failed transactions, charges are not refunded. This is fraud.

It is not possible if you registered with another network.
