Pls, I'm asking for an old series, in which Kiefer Sutherland acted as an American soldier who was forgotten in Jail, upon his release he was suspected of being a terrorist to wreak havoc in America.

British series/movies are doing well but Dem can never be number 1 in the industry

Which Genre do you think the British is doing well from?
Personally, the British are the best in anything "HISTORY"
Americans, Asians, other industries can battle for other genres but when it comes to anything that has to do with History, then no people does it better than the British.

The most important part I liked was the beautiful discussion between Toranaga and Yabushige. The best dialogue I've seen for a 2024 show and this right here is in pole position for awards night until HBO brings one of its new miniseries in play.

Any idea on HBO's miniseries lineup this year?

There's Kate Winslet's "The Regime" which aired last month.

There's ongoing "The Sympathizer" from veteran director Park Chan Wook. 3 episodes out already. It's one of the best TV shows airing presently.

The Franchise is also coming on later this year.

lol No. I have a nasty habit of holding on to the last season of sitcoms i enjoy, and since i have just one season left of the US version, i just hopped on the Uk version in the main time.

I fear that nasty habit is quite common among sitcom enjoyers grin grin

Couldn't even finish Episode 6, the plot was all over the place with the "twist" that "somebody" survived and was playing politics with an alliance marriage.

The whole thing with Storm and the demon too just tire me...

It felt like too many concepts were being introduced at once and they didn't fit in to the world...

Anyway, I'm waiting to binge it when the season ends

the plot is good lmao,I was talking about magneto use of emp on the entire world (spoilers!) that would have caused a catastrophic event in real life scenario, I'm talking about planes falling out of the skies, people on life support dying .

the show is really good, and I'm a DC fan.

A visual feast I must say and an enlightening look at feudal Japan cultural leanings. Expertly carried out, beautiful dialogue, visual splendour. Pristine Cinematography and sound design. Great set and location, authentic costume design and greatly nailing the cultural norms of the time.

One thing I noticed most people missed was the true Japanese cultural view of Samurai vs Ninja aka "Shinobi".

Ninjas are assassins and dwellers of the underworlds/night and are not seen as heroic but as deceptive.

Samurai were the warrior class and holds true influential power in Japan. Samurai culture or "Bushido" was and is the true way and history of Japan. Modern times and movies of late have romanticised ninjas into some mystical beings and heroic enigmas.

Lady Mariko's primary assignment was to win Lady Ochiba to Toranaga's side. And especially to use their childhood relationship to court and win her favour.
The secondary assignment was to expose Ishido for what he truly is and weaken support for him.

While I'm a bit dissatisfied about the highly anticipated big epic battle. The season finale did a very good job ending it in a poetic manner. All the deaths leading up to that point would have been pointless if we were shown a battle scene. You'd appreciate the deaths of those who sacrificed themselves for Toranaga's ambition all the more.

"The most important part I liked was the beautiful discussion between Toranaga and Yabushige." The best dialogue I've seen for a 2024 show and this right here is in pole position for awards night until HBO brings one of its new miniseries in play.
what business does a dead man have with the future, or something of sort. That made me laugh so hard.

Perhaps somebody should remind Indaboski who always say he's a Deadman, what business he has with dollar rate. grin

Queen of tears is a solid 8/10 for me.
This is a solid, wonderfully crafted, one of the best Korea series i have seen.

16 episodes of good watch, never a boring moment, never a dull moment.
The name of the series is a perfect description of the casts, especially the main cast.
This show is funny, thrilling, investigative, romance, and teary.
Some scenes gat you teary and feeling emotionally downcasted.

All the casts gave their all for this series, it's like they were born for the row, they all totally outdid themselves in the show.
Their facial expressions to situations or conversations are top notch.
I have to give Kudos to the Korea television shows .
They are currently taking television shows industry to another level.

It's wonderful how Koreans can give us 16 episodes of pure entertainment but Nollywood be giving us migre 6 to 8 episodes of unsatisfory story lines.

It's premium good if intelligent Spy series is your jam. But this one isn't action focused like 'em ”24”, "Strike Back". It has copious lengthy dialogue and back and forth and actual espionage not action.

It's an engrossing watch tho if you are into ISIS, Middle Eastern militia groups, Russian oligarch and secret services (FSB & KGB) etc.

I stopped at S2. Still plan to get back to it and complete it sometime in the future.
