Why is it most people who come tops in school don't do so in real life after school except when aided with scholarships by government and orgs. And automatic job offers by government. check all those who where taking first position in your class where are they now?

It's about the comfort zone. No drive, no zeal. This is obtainable when you study abroad. Their wards don't so much care unlike Nigerians, Indians (foreigners) who burn the night candles thinking of how far they have come from home and want to be successful.

most times, many are actually from poor background with good academic brilliance and intelligence but no financial strength to set them up street wise too, except for the scholarship and government support you've rightly highlighted.... unlike the Rich dull once whose parents have set the ground running already for them. some even takeover their father's or family companies and businesses after graduation, some even already introduced into business or the the work ethics even while still in school.

you don't get it. They don't go to school for top scores but to connect to their likes. Those guys get the top jobs in the country, they insults their teachers because they knew who their dads are. So a smart dad with moderate income will struggle for their child to be in those kind of schools just to mingle with rich kids

If they add the scores of all that posters family that have taken JAMB since inception, it wouldn't add up to 336 sef.

I don't blame the poster for not identifying greatness and showing humility when they see it, not one of their friends and family since birth has achieved such so pity is the only emotion one should have for them really.
